Objectives of the Role

Online Learning Facilitators are responsible for delivering online teaching within vocational and higher education programs offered by Curio's clients and partners. This role involves facilitating learning in accordance with the provided course design, including established curriculum, assessments, and marking criteria.

The primary objective is to ensure a high-quality, engaging, and supportive learning experience for all students. Facilitators are expected to meet or exceed client-defined benchmarks for student satisfaction, including maintaining a Teaching Pulse score of 4.0 or higher.

Course Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding participants through the intricacies of data analytics and empowering them with the skills and confidence to excel in data analytics, advanced analytics, data science and AI solutions.

Our courses equip learners with practical, industry-relevant skills across data modelling, statistical analysis, visualisation, machine learning model development and advanced methods in predictive and prescriptive analytics. Facilitators play a vital role in guiding learners through applied projects using tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Webinar Delivery: Plan, schedule, and deliver live and/or recorded webinar sessions in alignment with the course design
• Academic Delivery: Facilitate learning activities (e.g., discussion forums, group tasks) and assessments based on the provided course content
• Assessment & Feedback: Mark assessments and provide feedback by participating in assessment moderation processes
• Student Engagement: Maintain active communication with students through approved channels and offer timely and accessible academic support
• Team Collaboration: Attend course administration meetings and participate in coaching sessions and peer learning activities

Skills & Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, and/or extensive professional or industry experience in the relevant subject area
• Strong applied knowledge with analytics tools and methods (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Excel)
• Substantial work or practice-based experience in the related subject matter
• Demonstrated skills and contemporary teaching experience relevant to the discipline; online teaching experience is highly regarded
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Moodle, etc.)
• High level written and verbal communication skills
• Confidence and resourcefulness in learning new technologies

Additional Information

• Fully remote and offered on a contract basis
• Facilitators based in Australia must hold a valid Australian Business Number (ABN) or Australian Company Number (ACN)
• A current Working with Children Check (if required by the client/partner)
