Program Manager - Technology Service Delivery

  • Two positions available on 24month fixed term contracts - Enabling & Operational Technology

The Organisation

Airservices Australia is a government-owned organisation responsible for the safe and efficient management of 11% of the world's airspace and provision of aviation rescue fire fighting services at Australia's busiest airports.

The Role & The Team

We are seeking two Program Managers to lead the Enabling Technology and Operational Technology sub portfolios within the Technology Service Delivery (TSD) portfolio.

Reporting to Head of Transformation – Technology Service Delivery, you will oversee a blend of major programs and sustainment activities, providing strategic leadership, hands-on delivery support and strong governance. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will prioritise work, manage pipeline demands, develop capability and ensure disciplined program execution.

The team operates in a fast paced, mission critical environment where collaboration and people centred leadership are key. The work directly supports national aviation safety and critical infrastructure resilience.

Enabling Technology

Lead multiple enabling network and software projects and oversee governance of technology sustainment. Ideal for someone with strong software focused program discipline and a solid understanding of enterprise critical technology infrastructure.

Operational Technology

Lead projects across regulated aviation and aerodrome systems. Experience in highly regulated operational technology and systems engineering will be highly regarded.

The Person

You are a strategic, people focused Program Manager who brings structure, governance and delivery discipline — with the ability to get hands-on when required. You build trust quickly and influence effectively across technical and non-technical environments.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex programs in mission critical or regulated environments
  • Experience across software, telecoms, cyber, critical infrastructure or operational technology
  • Strong people leadership with a focus on performance and collaboration
  • Proven governance, risk, planning and benefits management capability
  • Ability to manage diverse portfolios and program pipelines
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders in complex organisations
