About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Test Engineer with strong functional testing expertise in accounting and finance applications to support a critical engagement on the Acurity platform. This role suits a hands-on tester who thrives in Agile environments and enjoys working closely with developers and product stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Previous experience supporting testing initiatives for UniSuper or similar financial services environments will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review business and technical requirements to provide clear, timely feedback
  • Design and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
  • Estimate, prioritise, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Execute functional, regression, and system testing
  • Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify system requirements
  • Monitor debugging and retesting outcomes
  • Continuously improve testing processes and approaches
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools, methodologies, and best practices

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Proven experience testing accounting or finance-based applications
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
