The Role

The Senior Project Manager will play a key role within the Enterprise Services (ES) team, overseeing and coordinating a diverse portfolio of projects that drive business-wide impact. This role ensures initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to Toll's strategic priorities. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, the Senior Project Manager will support productivity and business‑resilience efforts through enhanced process maturity, automation, and organisational change. This is a pivotal position leading substantial transformation and contributing directly to Toll's ongoing journey toward operational excellence.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will:

This role is responsible for elevating systems, processes, and capability across the enterprise. Day‑to‑day, it encompasses program and project management, with governance activities that ensure initiatives are executed effectively and achieve their intended business outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets.

  • Program Scheduling & Governance Support: Coordinate the ES Program schedule with leadership, maintain light‑touch governance standards, and ensure clear progress communication and compliance with delivery, risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Project & Portfolio Delivery: Lead key projects such as the current S2P remediation and Projects@Toll deployment, manage evolving initiatives like Productivity Data Hierarchy, and work closely with GBS on ongoing offshore model evolution.
  • Process, Data & Change Enablement: Drive process maturity uplift, data literacy, and organisational change with a pragmatic, cost‑conscious approach across a dynamic project portfolio.
  • Planning, Execution & Risk Management: Define project plans and milestones, manage deadlines and stand‑ups, report status, and maintain/escalate risks and issues effectively.
  • Stakeholder, Transition & Operational Management: Engage stakeholders, manage transitions, ensure smooth BAU handover, and oversee SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance post‑implementation.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and embed opportunities for optimisation and technology uplift, including AI, robotics, and emerging technologies.

What We are Looking For

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline preferred (e.g., Business, Management, Science, Logistics, IT).
  • Professional certifications relevant to Project Management, or Agile methodologies highly desirable.
  • Good familiarity with Lean tools and culture

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience leading mid to large‑scale transformation programs in complex multinational/multi-business unit environments, applying diverse methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Expertise in process improvement and operational excellence, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, Agile practices, and other continuous‑improvement frameworks.
  • Deep business, financial and data management capability, including budgeting, cost modelling, quantitative analysis, financial management, governance, and risk practices.
  • Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging effectively with senior leaders, cross‑functional teams, and external partners through strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication.
  • Good capability in digital and operational transformation, including implementing automation, RPA, cloud-based solutions, and Design Thinking to shape effective business solutions.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft O365 and supporting tools, to support program delivery and reporting.
