We're hiring for a Technology Risk Governance Manager, in this individual contributor role you will play a key role in supporting the process for identification, assessment, and mitigation of technology risks across the organization. You will partner closely with and support a peer Technology Risk Manager and ensure that Technology risks are managed in line with the Technology Standards.

This role will facilitate the operational support, oversight and reporting of technology risks, enabling safe innovation, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience across the logistics value chain.

You will work closely with the Enterprise Services technology, operations, and business teams to provide specialist advice, insight, guidance and support and ensure that effective risk management practices are in place (including for the cloud environments).

What you’ll deliver with us 

Risk Identification & Assessment

  • Support the proactive identification, assessment, and facilitate mitigation of technology risks across operational environments and transformation programs.
  • Plan and execute regular and ad-hoc reviews into areas of significant technology risks to the organisation, including deep dives, and facilitating commercial solutions for any issues that may arise.
  • Partner with delivery teams, architects, and operational leaders to integrate risk management into business-as-usual processes and project lifecycles.
  • Maintain a current risk register reflecting emerging threats, system dependencies, and control effectiveness.

Risk Governance & Framework Implementation

  • Facilitate regular risk and control assessments and timely remediation of identified gaps.
  • Support the Technology & Cyber Controls Assurance function in undertaking reviews against the minimum policy, standard and control requirements.
  • Undertake targeted reviews of the effectiveness of key Technology controls and provide reporting & insights.
  • Develop and implement risk management processes, libraries and documentation that will help improve transparency and management of enterprise and business unit technology risks and associated compliance and operational requirements.

Transformation & Change Assurance

  • Provide risk advisory support for technology operations and systems within transformation projects.
  • Review and challenge technology designs, change management processes, and vendor engagements from a risk perspective.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively influence stakeholders to negotiate and agree appropriate risk recognition, mitigation plans, and resource commitments to mitigate technology risks.
  • Build strong relationships with IT delivery leads, cyber security teams, and business units to promote a proactive risk culture.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on key risk exposures, emerging threats, and control enhancements.

Insights and Reporting

  • Support balanced discussions for progressing risk mitigation vs risk acceptance
  • Support and assist with reporting on risks, KRIs and controls testing for various forums including the Audit & Risk Committee, GM operational forums and Risk Representative Working Group
  • Support delivery of high-quality, data-driven risk reporting for executive and board-level audiences.
  • Provide insights into technology risk trends, key risk indicators (KRIs), and control maturity.

About You 

You have a strong background in Technology Risk and IT Governance within large, complex organisations, with proven experience in risk management supporting technology or digital functions. Your expertise covers technology, digital and information governance, security risk, and operational frameworks such as ISO27001/2, ITIL, E8, NIST, and COBIT, along with familiarity with APRA CPS 230/234, ISO 31000, or similar standards. You excel at translating complex technical information into clear business language, engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, and maintaining effective relationships across the business. Your analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills set you apart.
